[GSAS-II] Set GSAS-II version via Scripting Interface & code editing preferences?

Is it possible to set the GSAS-II version via the scripting interface? In the GUI there’s a ‘regress to old GSAS-II version’, but I didn’t see a similar option in the scripting interface.

Somewhat tangential question, but it seems relevant in light of this request and the recent Bruker brml file discussion. Is there a preferred way to submit code for GSAS-II? I’m more familiar with git with a cycle of fork and pull request. In svn it looks like it’s a bit more linear, but has options of branches and merging. Would that be useful for users/developers to explore, or just more difficult on your end and easier to just e-mail?

Thanks again for building and developing this!
