[Xrayops] An Update on the Current Fill Pattern

[APS Experiment Hall X-ray Operations Problem List]

Due to a timing error still under investigation, the evening fill-on-fill at 19:45 has created a fill pattern of 324 doublets, where there is a second bunch that is following the main bunch at a smaller intensity. There are currently 101 mA of stored beam, with no noticeable beam motion.


After the fill, an increase in horizontal emittance was observed. At ~20:15, an adjustment in chromaticity was made to bring emittance back to its previous value.
