[Xrayops] Update

[APS Experiment Hall X-ray Operations Problem List]

This morning the storage ring experienced a vacuum fault caused by the downstream 13ID undulator coming into contact with

the insertion device vacuum chamber.   The insertion device group removed the 13ID insertion devices and the vacuum chamber

was inspected.    The inspection and survey results showed minimal impact to the vacuum chamber, and we repaired a vacuum leak on

the beam position monitor.  We are able to maintain vacuum in the chamber are preparing for tunnel closure. We plan to attempt

to store beam in the next 4-6 hours.   In parallel, we are completing a replacement

vacuum chamber for installation if we are unable to maintain beam this evening. We will provide an update tomorrow morning

around 9:00 AM.
