[GSAS-II] clear simulation when using phython API

Hi,
I am trying to run a simulation in a loop.  Currently, I am creating a new .gpx on each iteration then reloading everything which seems like it is increasing the time per loop.  This seems necessary to reset the simulated histogram.  is there a better way to clear the histogram?  The GUI version would be to simply hit the edit range button and then ok.  How can this be replicated in the API?
