[GSAS-II] How to recover from this GSAS-II error?

All

I am trying to do some peak fitting, and keep hitting this error message:

*** Warning: calculated peak widths are too narrow to refine profile coefficients ***
Manually increase W in Instrument Parameters
peak fit failure

Which, I would do, but the dialogue box showing the progress bar (title: Residual, shows the Peak fit Rwp =”) won’t go away and locks the input screen. There is a Cancel button, but pressing it appears not to do anything.

Is it possible to recover from this state, so that I don’t have to start this whole process over? It has happened a couple of times now (and I’m not sure why, these peaks are wide enough to fly a 747 through them with room to spare).

Thank you all, and apologies for spamming the mailing list over the last few days.
