[Xrayops] S:IS1 Downtime Update

[APS Experiment Hall X-ray Operations Problem List]

Problem: As of Monday evening, the APS has been troubleshooting an issue with injection septum S:IS1 operation.



Activity: A replacement thick septum assembly has passed a series of tests and is in the final stages of preparation to replace the failed septum currently installed. Work planning and control efforts are progressing in coordination with HP, Rigging & Lifting, WSH and a host of ASD and AES support groups.  The replacement effort is estimated to start in earnest this afternoon and continue into Thursday.  As of this notice, the projected time for return to user operations is still estimated to be Tues Oct 15, as previously communicated and shown on the main page of the APS website.
